Cosmetic eyelid surgery, called blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the upper eyelids, lower eyelids or both, restoring firmness to the area surrounding the eyes and making you look more rested and alert. Eyelid surgery can treat loose or sagging skin that creates bags and folds in the lower lids or hides the natural contour of the upper lids.

How is Eyelid Surgery Performed?
Blepharoplasty can be performed on both the upper and lower eyelids. In upper eyelid surgery, an incision is made in the natural crease of the eyelid. Excess skin and fat are then removed before Dr. Pecunia closes the incision with fine sutures. Lower eyelid surgery involves an incision at either the lash line or inside the eyelids.
