Originally from New Orleans, Dr. Pecunia received his Bachelor’s of Science from Louisiana State University and his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1986. He then completed his general surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital-University of Pennsylvania in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and his plastic surgery residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Pecunia is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1996. He is also affiliated with several medical associations including The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He began the Plastic Surgery Department at Hattiesburg Clinic in 1994.

Dr. Pecunia provides a professional approach to plastic surgery, and ensures all patients are well informed and cared for every step of the way. His primary surgical interests include; breast augmentation and reduction, breast lift and reconstruction, tummy tuck, eye and facelift surgery, liposuction, and laser resurfacing. He also performs procedures on the hand and upper extremity including carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release and ganglion excision. Other areas of expertise include minimally invasive procedures such as micro dermabrasion, chemical peeling, laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation and various dermal fillers including Botox and Juvederm.
